Bio
I am Michel Chenelle
and I will be teaching 7th grade Language Arts, Social Studies,
and Publishing. After receiving a B.A. in Theater Arts from U.C.L.A. in 1981
I worked both domestically and internationally in the theater and the arts.
In 2002, after spending a summer volunteering in Ghana, I decided to become
a teacher and received my teaching credential from Cal State Los Angeles.
I started my career at
CHIME as a para-educator where I also had the opportunity to complete my
student teaching. I have been involved with the Drama program since 2004, as
well as responsible for the publication of the school newspaper and
yearbook.
I try to create a class
environment where all students can feel successful accessing the curriculum.
I am committed to constructing meaningful lessons that will not only help
students grasp necessary concepts, but will help them understand how these
concepts are used in everyday life.
